How can I get red lipstick out of a cream carpet?

Dd being her usual minxing self decided to put red lipstick on my white/cream bedroom carpet. How on earth do I get it out?

alcohol is quite good for greasy stains

or a bit of washing powder (a biological one)

White Wizard from Lakeland is good for this sort of thing - I used it to get the blacking for cast-iron fireplaces out of my pale coloured carpet
