How do you remove biro ink from white wood furniture?

Dd has managed to get it all over her white bunk bed. They are white painted pine.

I've tried WD40.

Any ideas?

Jif and one of those gentle scourers in circular movements rather than down and out scrubbing?

I managed this on plain wood with dylon spray starch and metal dish scourer as I didn’t have the hairpray. May want to rub and oil / beeswax after This thread is ancient but it may help others good luck
