How do you wash & store tights?

Currently decluttering bedroom and have a huge drawer of tights, many of which seem to have been mangled in washing machine.
What's the best way to wash and store them and how long do they last typically?

I have some laundry nets from Lakeland. These are tacked onto the side of my laundry basket and tights go straight in there when used. Then when doing a delicates wash, I can just pick the filled nets up and put them in the washing machine.

I use a delicates detergent - no fabric conditioner (as with underwired bras), then dry and fold four times, with the label facing forward, so I can see what denier/type they are when they do into the drawer.

In the drawer, I have them standing up so I can flip through them like you do with records in HMV!

15 denier last about ten to 15 washes, I've had some of my 40-60 deniers for 3 years.

Store them in a drawer - put the legs together, fold once, then tie in a knot (none of my tights have labels that say what denier/type they are so I just have to rummage and look)
