Cleaning barbeque

I have a 3 year old Weber kettle barbeque (that was hardly used last year cos of the weather) it needs serious cleaning. Any recommendations please? I have used Baufix grill/ barbeque cleaning foam ( I think its Lidl own brand). It did nothing. Nada. Zilch.

Have Just tried Easyclean oven shine - useless too. Though it did clean the interior glass of my oven.

Oven pride, I think you can use that for barbeques. Mind you by the time you have brought all these products,it will probably be cheaper to buy a new barbeque !

green nylon scourers with any cleaning product that's handy.

Don't worry about getting it too clean. The heat of the flames will kill off any nasties. Smile We just give ours a quick scrub with a brush and some BBQ Cleaner spray, then rinse.

Seconding Olbasoil's suggestion - Oven Pride is excellent for BBQ cleaning. You just put the grill trays in a sturdy polythene bag with the cleaning fluid and let it get to work, then rinse. A gleaming BBQ will be yours in a couple of hours with no effort on your part!
