Just on here looking for recommendations but just have to say my Zanussi washer-dryer has lasted 10 years (5 of those as a family machine rather than a couple's machine) and until the drum went (that was a noisy moment!) the only problem we ever had to deal with was the lint filter needing clearing. My Mum has a Bosch that she has had no problems with (we've got Bosch everything else so very tempted by that as well).
