Not used either.

i have Christy ones - cheap from a retail outlet shop and Primark ones. Can't tell the difference between them when using them tbh! But - I've had the Christy ones for 9 years and they look like they did when i bought them. Might be worth a look and prob no more expensive than dunelm??

My mum has towels from wilkinsons and they're lovely too.

Dunhelm ok
Bhs are not expensive and quite nice too

ShatnersBassoon · 28/05/2013 08:24

Primark towels are very good value.

flatmum · 28/05/2013 08:24

Ill tell you where best for cheap but good- BHS! Get them online as tey always have 30% of deals etc.

I just got the basic range ones and they washe really well and still going atting a coupke of years later. Bath mats also good.

So good I said it twice!

poshbeaver · 28/05/2013 08:29

TK Maxx are brilliant for towels too! Great quality and surprisingly cheap.

HappyAsEyeAm · 28/05/2013 13:59

Debenhams put their Christy towels in their summer sale. Well, they did 3 years ago, and I bought loads with 70% off. They wash amazingly well and look like new, despite being washed every week for the last 3 years. I would 100% recommend, if you can stretch to it.

poocatcherchampion · 28/05/2013 19:29

I love our IKEA ones

ChewingOnLifesGristle · 28/05/2013 19:35

My mum is a big fusspot about towels and is always on the lookout for 'nice' towels; she keeps saying Wilkinson's are very good.

I haven't bought any yet although we could certainly use some new ones. Ours are a right old disperate shabby collectionBlush

matilda101 · 28/05/2013 19:43

I'm a big fan of tkmaxx towels as well although you might be limited to colours etc.

KelleStar · 28/05/2013 19:52

I hate our ikea ones, rough and not great.

Dunelm not too bad, soft still after 7 years, but colour faded years ago.

M&Co kept colour and softness.

All are washed regularly and tumble dried, no conditioner.

princesssmartypantss · 28/05/2013 19:57

think primark came out really well in good housekeeping magazine test a few years ago. if you don't mind the queue? bhs also good, although we haven't bought any recently so not sure about price!

VivaLeBeaver · 28/05/2013 20:03

Bhs ones are fab. I was in ikea today and thought they felt thin and rough.

MrsDmitriTippensKrushnic · 28/05/2013 20:07

IKEA ones wash really well and they're comparatively cheap but even the top range ones (Afjarden - £16 for a bath Sheet) aren't posh so it depends on what you're looking for really.

I work in the bathshop part of IKEA so sadly get to play with the towels far too much (annoying customers who unfold stacks of identical towels then dump them in heaps, or wipe their snotty noses on them and leave it for me to stick my hand in )

FadBook · 28/05/2013 20:09

My dunelm ones are still soft and in shape after 5 years but lost colour too.

Ikea ones not as good.

Think Dunelm have there summer sale on now so normally 20% off towels (that's when I stock up!)

motherofvikings · 28/05/2013 20:13

Hmmmm

I really can't do primark. All the mess makes me a bit twitchy. Blush. We were given some if their towels and although they're very soft they're lousy for drying you.

We were also given BHS towels. They went thin fast! Shock

Of all the towels the John Lewis and ikea ones have lasted best.

I haven't tried tk maxx - have a feeling it might be as disorganised as primark! Confused

I've had two sets of IKEA towels (among many others from elsewhere) for about 10 years and they are still going strong. Wash well and dry well (I don't use fabric conditioner with towels as this clogs the fibres).

However, I've also had 3 sets of Tesco towels for 4 years and they are also still going strong and weren't expensive.

Frontdoorstep · 29/05/2013 20:09

Agree with Gobbin about Tesco, very good value, wash well, good choice and range of colours to choose from too.

schoolmaam · 30/05/2013 13:32

I bought some red towels from Dunelm and even after a dozen washes my bathroom was covered in red fluff....it was even up the walls!!!! My towels are now in the bin.

Gingerandproud · 31/05/2013 14:18

Tk maxx have good ones. We got some from the white company outlet that have lasted.
