Annoying ads on side bars

Am I the only one getting a moving karcher advert all the way down both sides of the screen making it impossible to concentrate on what you're reading? Or are others not bothered by it? It appears to be only happening on the goodhousekeeping topic.

No I am getting it too, just on the Good Housekeeping topic, but the bar with the arrows and sliders is popping up on other topics too.

DorisShutt · 21/05/2013 12:25

I got this on mine so have downloaded an ad blocker.

dabbler · 21/05/2013 13:12

Where/How do you download an ad blocker Doris?

Mumsnet doesn't run on fresh air.

learning to ignore ads is skill no 1 for anyone using the internet. And of course never buying anything so advertised.

DorisShutt · 21/05/2013 13:32

I have Chrome, so just googled adblocker on google and there was a free app.

dabbler · 21/05/2013 13:34

Yes, it's annoying isn't it? MN Towers take note! Any ideas for those of us without Chrome?

ToffeeWhirl · 21/05/2013 16:41

Am on Firefox. No idea how to block it, but it's maddening.

Swanhilda · 21/05/2013 19:24

It is horrible, and most ads don't flick constantly, or fill both sides of the screen. At least it doesn't talk Hmm

dabbler · 21/05/2013 19:55

I won't be coming back to Good Housekeeping until it goes

thanks ToffeeWhirl !

I've just got rid of the ads, so many, many thanks, but understand I should pay something on the "honour system" for it. OK, but can't find any way to do this (and it's such a relief it is worth money).
