Baby oil stain on DPs favourite trousers, help!

The daft apoth put his bottle of baby oil in with his stupidly expensive gym trousers but left the cap loose and now he has a big stain on them. They've already been washed but made no difference, how do I get rid of this stain?

Stain devils do a remover for fat that I think does baby oil too. I have a horrible habit of splashing chicken fat down my front when carving roast chicken, and this seems to get it out.

Fabric
Pretreat with a prewash stain remover and wash on the hottest possible setting for that fabric.

If the stain remains, mix one tablespoon of washing up liquid and one tablespoon of white vinegar with two cups of warm water. Sponge the stain with this solution and blot until the liquid is absorbed. Sponge with cold water and blot dry to remove the detergent/vinegar solution

apparently, WD40 sprayed on the stain, then washed on the hottest setting possible for the trousers and then left to air dry should get the stain out

Thanks, was wondering if fairy liquid would do the job. I haven't got them with me at the moment but they are like sweatpants material.

I was going to say fairy liquid. That's what I use on grease stains. Directly on to the stain, hopefully before it dries, then into to wash. Good luck.

There's a general degreaser called "Elbow Grease" that can be used on fabric/clothes as well. This definitely got the baby oil stains on my pillowcases (Egyptian Cotton) out the other week. I'd washed & washed them & it wasn't budging, sprayed the Elbow Grease on them, left for a couple of hours then washed in 40 degrees & they were gone. I get it from the Yorkshire Trading Company, but have also seen it in a few independent shops, it's usually with all the rest of the kitchen/bathroom cleaners. It's a really fab degreaser - the best I've ever come across at any rate - I always make sure I've a few bottles of it in as it's so versatile, plus it's only £1!

Have you tried talcum power? Works well for fatty oil stains.
