Roomba- desperate

Bob, my much loved Roomba, is 18 months old. He was an extravagant purchase at the time, in fact DH and the DCs clubbed together to buy him for my Christmas present 2011. I love him. It was a more expensive Christmas present than I normally get, but IMO worth it.

DH tipped an entire mug of coffee over him and he stopped working immediately. He's not charging up or doing anything.

Help! How can I fix him??? We cannot afford to replace him.

Nightmare. Sad

theres advice here what-to-do-when-gadgets-get-wet but you might well be looking at a claim on your contents insurance.

I wouldnt try to charge the battery until you are sure hes completely dry. water and electric is a bit scary.

hope you get him sorted.

A friend of mine put her thoroughly drowned smart phone in rice for 2 weeks and it was completely cured. The rice absorbs all the moisture. Worth a go?

Try contacting the manufacturers... They may be able to repair and service it for you. Failing that, could you claim on your house insurance?
