shit, I might have ruined the bathtub

victorian enamel
used bleach because it had a yellow tinge to the bottom.
now it's rusty coloured.
what can I do?

will not re-enamel
bathtub will be replaced with a showerbath in a couple of months victorians clearly didn't have size 14 bottom...

It's a chemical reaction. I did this too and found plain water washing it out a lot seemed to fade it. Then gave it a good scrub with astonish paste. It faded to virtually nothing but I did wash, wash, wash almost as soon as the reaction occured. Good luck!

thanks all.
have rinsed a lot and also scrubbed with ciff. it has faded a bit, so there is still hope.
next tub will be plasic

I did this to my bath, hydrogen peroxide worked wonders. Stain can no longer be seen
