Have you lived/been in a house with the same carpets throughout?

We are moving to a new house and the landlords are re-carpeting throughout. We've been asked opinions on colours, which is nice (but from a small choice of samples). I think the idea is to carpet the whole house in the one neutral-ish shade.

All the carpets in our house are the same colour - we use rugs and runners to decorate the rooms.

Ours are the sake colour all the way through, we also use rugs etc to add colour

All but main bedroom here the same colour. No carpet of course in bathroom or kitchen. It's a two bedroom flat in London. Dark chocolate brown meaning that blues, creams, greens go on the walls iykwim so its different there.

We have the same creamy beige colour throughout. It was left by the previous owners which we are very grateful for as it would cost a fortune to recarpet. However they are not very practical and we have had to have them cleaned annually (could probably do with more often). They were clearly not thinking about us having a baby here . We will replace them downstairs with wood throughout when DD is a bit older.

We have the same throughout. It's a darkish beige colour with a fleck. Very forgiving, especially with a baby, toddler and dog in the house.

Do now and will again (all 100 m^2 of it).
A kind of pale mustard colour, that has faded to light yellow-beige. We have zero interest in interior decorating so will get same again (soon I hope).

It works with everything but pinks or purples. Especially works well with deep reds, cream, other shades of brown or gold.

We have, or did until our bedroom one got ruined in a flood. Mine are creamy and to be fair are still in good condition after 4 years and we have 2 dc and I'm a childminder so think they've done well.

We have the same throughout, creamy fleck - plus light wood in hall. Bathroom & kitchen not carpet either. As we live in a bungalow it helps to make it feel more spacious.
Our previous place, a rental, (new property on 3 floors) had same beige berber style carpet throughout and it helped make it light as the windows were quite small.
In Spain we had the same floor tiles everywhere. Stunning.

I would like to have the same throughout. I hate the bedroom carpets in our house but the hall/stairs/landing one is nice, would love it to flow though the upstairs.

We have the same throughout. It looks much smarter, and more spacious. Lightish browny-beige. Not deep pile.

We have the same throughout (apart from Kitchen and bathroom).
We have a cream/oatmeal colour and it works well, the house flows well and makes rooms look bigger.

For those of you with the same carpet throughout, what about your walls? Are they the same throughout?? Thinking of doing same carpet and walls (paint) upstairs...

We have beige carpet throughout the whole house bar hardwood floors in kitchen and family room. It was in the house when we bought it and is at the very end of its life. The front room will have the pine boards cleaned up and rugs put down as we can't afford new hardwood flooring right now.

The real bugger is the three steps leading down into the family room on the right while the stairs up to the next floor go up to the bedrooms - the traffic is tremendous, yet we still need carpet to muffle the noise from disturbing snoozers upstairs. Any suggestions?

I have a mid-brown, fairly cool-toned carpet everywhere but kitchen and bathrooms. Walls in living room/hallway are cream, kitchen very pale grey and 3 bedrooms white. It's a small house and I tend to go for light but I knew a very pale carpet would not work for me, between my tendency to track in mud from the garden and having a black cat.

Flecks are deffo the way to go - a warmish neutral as light as you feel confident going.
Chicken I have a pale yellow hallway, white bedroom and DD has a pale blue room. Because the carpet is a warm shade rather than too white and has the flecks, it works with almost anything :)

Yes we bought a new build and put in wood floors downstairs with beige carpet all upstairs.

We have the same sandy colour carpet throughout except our 2 staircases which have sand and cream coloured carpet runners

We have a light brown/ beige carpet all the way through, apart form hallway, kitchen, conservatory and bathroom. All our walls are magnolia too, including ceilings and woodwork. (white in the bathroom) it makes the house look fresh, open and inviting. I'm really happy with it!
