Bagged or bagless ?

What's the difference and what's better . That's it really .

I have a bagged canister vac and bagless stick vac. Bagless stick vac is handy for the quick everyday sweeps (i.e. dirt in entryway or crumps in kitchen after breakfast). I prefer bagged for my main vacuum since it seems to keep all the dust trapped and then I just remove the bag and toss it. I've heard bagged is better for allergies and asthma.
