Damn blow blast and bloody hell

so a lovely couple at church bring us round a meal. Last time they did this I broke their casserole dish, obviously replaced it, cite lots of laughter and comments of "remember this dish"

I've burnt it really badly on the bottom. How the hell do I get it off before sunday, cast iron?

Washing powder mixed to paste then top up to an inch of water and boil. (watch it deoen't boil dry though!)

Can you tell I do this often?

astonish oven and cookware cleaning paste would shift it - home bargains sell it

Yep, bio washing powder and water and simmer in a low heat for ages (without boiling dry). Will look like new. I DH do it loads too.
