How to remove stains from grout and tiles in shower

I know this has been asked before...but can you please suggest your recommendations on how to best remove dirt from grout and the area between tiles in a shower? Have tried Cif and an old toothbrush, mould and mildew remover etc, and a steam cleaner but I cant seem to remove them Thanks!

Lakeland do a fantastic bleach based product. Need to for a while and bathroom stinks like swimming pool afterwards but gets absolutely EVERYTHING bright and white again. Will try to post link. Think tescos may also sell it

use the dettol mould and mildew remover but leave it on for a few hours rather than rinsing it off when it says

I didn't have any luck with the Lakeland one, it didn't work very well at all but Flash bleach spray has done the trick. I alternate with Ecover limescale remover (one of them a week, left for half an hour or so). No need to scrub, just rinse off with water.

I use thick bleack and a washing-up brush and spread it around. Then, I leave it a while (whilst I go clean other things).

I use Harpic toilet lime scale remover, yes i know is for the loo, but is more powerful than any other cleaner.

It's got a strong acid in it, is why. I forget which acid it has, but I do think it's the one that must never be mixed with bleach.

Get a colourless toilet bleach - I use the pink Parazone. Make sure it is colourless otherwise the grout will take on the colour. Pour it over the grout (the small nozzle comes into it's own here) and leave for a couple of hours. I open the window as well. Then simply get shower head and rinse away. No scrubbing or anything. Any really tough patches might need to be left for longer.

If nothing else, if you have some toilet bleach in then try it tonight and if it doesn't work then you can buy something else tomorrow.

I second the HG mould spray from Lakeland (you can buy it from Amazon too). I did my bathroom tiles and grout with it yesterday. Sprayed and left it for 20 mins then rinsed with the shower head. Sparkly clean :)

HG mould spray didn't work here. Bleach did. Just normal thick bleach. Left it on for a bit and bathroom is cleaner than it has ever been. Definitely leave a window open though.

You can take a pad of 3 or 4 sheets of kitchen paper and fold down the middle ( so you make an L shape iyswim) put some bleach along the outer edge of the L and then you can push this into any corners (eg between bath and wall or corners of tiles where 2 walls join) and leave overnight. Then rinse in the morning This will get rid of any of that black mould that forms on the sealant ( though if it is really bad if may only turn the black mould brown on first application).

To prevent further problems, last person to use shower in morning squeegees down walls/shower screen and wipes over with microfibre cloth before they get out of shower. I've managed to keep my sealant looking pristine for 3 years doing this - and the shower always looks clean and only needs to be cleaned with cleaning products occasionally once in a blue moon

Years ago I used to work in a hairdressers and one of the 6 monthly jobs was to clean all the grouting. We used to mix up hair bleach (it's a foam consistency) and paint it on overnight and clean off the next day. Worked a treat - obviously keep DC away from it though!
