I have chops in the oven and its smoking my house out. You can see a mist in my living room and kitchen, I've opened the windows but it's not clearing and it smells awful.

When did you last clean the oven? Congealed fat on the base has probably become very hot.

A few weeks ago. I think if I give it a good clean and give it a wipe each week it'd help wouldn't it?

Have you roasted a chicken recently by any chance? I find my oven smokes badly the next time I use it after that.

pork fat smokes

Maybe it's stressed or pissed? Those are the times that I usually smoke. Grin

I did this the other day. I think it's because I used a greased tray to make cookies and then left it in the bottom...

It did stop, though, thankfully.

Just not before I'd set the fire alarm off, and wasn't tall enough to stop it.
