Cleaning materials - grease and dirt busting!

Have decided to clean rental property to return to landlord and need to make it as painless as possible. House is clean to look at but need to brush up on detail.
Chandeliers in kitchen near hob (heaven knows why!) have accumulated grease which attracts dust - cannot take them down so will have to stand on chair and clean each glass pendant. What would be good to get all this grease off and to get a bit of sparkle back?

Recommendation for a general good degreaser would also be helpful.

A good degreaser is Cillit Bang.

Had a go yesterday with very hot water and soap and result is amazing. May not need to buy specialist cleaner after all!
