decluttering

Hello all...desperately need to declutter...feel like there is just stuff everywhere!also need to sort out toys as toybox is overflowing but have no idea where to start...any suggestions?

I love the clear vacum storage bags - great for old clothes, curtains and even spare duvets and pillows.

go through that toybox, take out everything that isn't played with any more and take it to the charity shop.

go through the kitchen, get rid of the items that are never used or things you have too many of. Freecycle, ebay, charity shop.

clothes: stop buying new stuff, in future only buy new stuff to replace things that are worn out or outgrown. Most adults in this country only wear a small percentage of the clothes that they own, you don't need any more. If it doesn't fit or looks silly, it goes.

stop buying magazines, newspapers, books (use the library).

that should make quite a dent in it.
