Tesco Pyrex offer - Cast iron casserole thingy?

Have chucked out all my kitchen shite and am re-stocking thanks to Tesco and their Pyrex offer. Am tempted by the cast iron casserole dish, £30 with vouchers or £80 without (I have vouchers galore). Do I need it?

I have one and I have to say its great although very heavy, have used it twice now and great meals both times. Cleans relatively easily as well

I have a denby one and love it, but I do have to remember to lift with my knees when taking it out of the oven when it's full :)

I think I have that cast iron one, I got it when it was the last one on the shelf and heavily reduced. Use it quite a bit and it seems durable and easy to clean

I've decided not to get it. I can't actually think what I would use it for as I have a slow cooker. It just looks nice and pretty and red...

I got one, I've found it really good. It's the only cookery 'thing' I have that goes on the hob and straight into the oven, so saving on the washing up!

I have two le crueset casserole dishes like the ones on offer in tesco and I use them all the time. We cook nearly everything in them-sausage casserole, curry, sweet and sour chicken, spag Bol, shepherds pie, fish pie. Pretty much anything! They are well worth the money. I was after some of the glass dishes with lids but they have been out of stock everywhere. Has any one else had this problem? We have 4 big tescos within an hours drive and we've been to all of them several times over the last two months and every time they are out of stock. We were told you could 'click and collect' which meant ordering online but they are out of stock online too. Very annoying. Hope you did buy it and enjoy cooking! Smile

I bought it and used yesterday to roast a chicken. Loved it! Went from oven and then to job for gravy and into dishwasher. I think I'll get a lot of use out of it!

I got one with the Tesco stickers and I love it! Bear in mind though if you want it you only have until tomorrow to get it as that's when the offer ends. I have 20 stickers left to use if anyone in Bristol wants them. :)
