would it b worth getting my wedding dress cleaned?

I got married in June last year and it wasn't the nicest of weather.
We had a fabulous day regardless but the bottom of my dress ended up black.
It's lace tulle over a silk lining and has been sitting under my bed in its bag rotton ever since.
I'd quite like to show my daughter it one day and wondered if the muck would come out with it being dried on for so long and if it would be worth the money to try?
Also anyone have any idea how much it roughly costs?

I got mine done 8 years after my wedding [bublush]. I googled for wedding dress drycleaners and checked out websites to try and find one that really marketted itself as wedding dress specialists.

They got it spotless. 8 year old mud, wine and (I think) tomato stains totally removed. It is as new. They said they often have them even older than 8 years. It cost me about £80 - this included a acid-free paper packing and big storage box. I am glad I did it - my DD can consider it as an option should she wish to (I would have loved to have worn my mum's fab '60s dress but she had dyed it green and used it as a dinner party outfit!)

If you do decide to do it get a recommendation if you can. I would certainly recommend where I used - they were totally brilliant - Cambourne Dry Cleaners in Cambourne - was a bit of a hike for me but they were worth it. (BTW seriously do not work for them - just really impressed by them)

Thanks fishfingers I think I'll go for it. Would just love to have it kept nicely. :)

I trampled mine in the bath and then hung it in the garden. Came up fab but this is obviously risky!!
