I want one too - there must be someone out there with one?

NotEnoughJamOnTheBread · 24/03/2013 17:50

I've got one and I blaaaardy well love it! Wouldn't be without one now. Its programmed to start 5 minutes after we've all left for the school run and goes back to its charging base when its low on battery. It never fails to amaze me how much crap it picks up.

SarahLundKicksAss · 24/03/2013 17:55

It is the mumsnet law that any roomba threads must link to

Dudess · 26/03/2013 21:23

No idea that this was a robot, but tomorrow I'm going to Roomba my way cleaning around the house; misinterpreted this as an adaptation of Zumba. Probably as I'm watching Obsessive Cleaners again!

LivingThings · 26/03/2013 21:34

Ooh DH is obviously sick of listening to me talking about Roombas and has ordered me one!!! Should be here by weekend - super excited!!! (love DH!!)

Love that video!! Never heard of a Roomba before but now I NEED ONE

TheSlug · 27/03/2013 15:38

ah, just looked them up. Think I'll stick to making DH do the hoovering instead!

Snowgirl1 · 30/03/2013 22:25

Livingthings don't forget to come back and tell us what you think!

Well i have had 'Eric' for four days nowvand my carpets have never looked so good for so long. I can see i will still have to get the Dyson out ocaisionally (and for stairs) but he is fab so far. My carpets are clean throughout and i havent touched a conventional hoover at all over the weekend. I am amazed (and slightly disgusted!) by the amount of stuff he is getting up off the carpet each time. So far i would definitely recommend!

Love ROooobert my roomba

Cuntibobs · 31/03/2013 20:46

If there was a fire, I would rescue my family first, and then my roomba. It's that good. [busmile]

Bramblesinafield · 31/03/2013 21:21

Which version would you recommend?

QOD · 01/04/2013 22:01

Whatever you an afford, I have a more basic model and a modern one. The basic one is still going, on its3rd battery about 5 yrs down the line

putyourhatonsweetie · 05/04/2013 07:23

are hey any good on wooden floors? we live near the beach so would love something that saves me sweeing every single night...

putyourhatonsweetie · 05/04/2013 07:23

sweeping

Gingerandcocoa · 05/04/2013 07:41

I love my Roomba!!! I've had him for 3.5 years and he's still going strong. Sometimes plays up a bit (anyone else get the clicking noise?) but still works well.

I have the very basic model but have thought about getting the one with the timer.... Maybe once ours stops working?

Titsalinabumsquash · 05/04/2013 07:44

Brian is a part of our family, I wouldn't be without him. :)

Melissakitkat · 05/04/2013 07:52

For wooden floors get the scooba! It hoovers then washes the floors - it's fab! I have a roomba upstairs (carpets) and scooba downstairs for wooden, tiles floors. Xxx love em.

putyourhatonsweetie · 05/04/2013 10:05

ooooh scooba...just looked it up. any more views anyone?

pinkyponk67 · 06/04/2013 16:59

Just got my roomba today and loving it so far!

pinkyponk67 · 06/04/2013 17:02

Ps it has occurred to me that I can't leave it on when I go out as it will trigger the burglar alarm. Anyone found a way round this?

QOD · 06/04/2013 20:20

Will it? Are the sensors aimed low? I have mine on downstairs when I'm doing upstairs bath etc so you can do that

DorcasDelIcatessen · 08/04/2013 12:07

Yikes. Had no idea they were so expensive. I really want one!
