Hi all
Anyone has one of these?
Our 2bd apprtment is carpeted and we have 2 big dogs. Hoovering every day is exhaustive but necessary! thought of maybe getting one of these (don't know Any makes other than the iRobot which seems nice but is fairly expensive)
any recommendations? specific makes/models?

Thanks!

Watching with interest! I want one of these. I do know somebody who has one (from Lakeland) and she seems v happy with it.

We have a roomba - got it from amazon - love it - it works on wood floors and carpets - we also have a scooba! Which does the same but washes the wooden floors - love mine - only downside is you still need to empty the compartment where the dirt gets sucked into. We have 9 cats so got them to get a grip on the cat hair and find them very good. You can even put your roomba on your sofa cushions! We are looking at getting a robomow next which will cut our grass! Lol.

@Melissakitkat thanks that's really helpful! can you plz tell me which model of Roomba you have? we don't have any floors (other than in the Kitchen and the bathroom- won't bother buying one especially for that)- and I don't mind emptying the compartment at all- I just want something that works!

and big lol re robomow hahaGrin

WOW loving these gadgets!! If I were to have all tiled floors down stairs then I would only need the scooba?
Do you just set them going over night or during the day when you are out?

We have a Roomba Pet Series - To cope with moulting dog.

It's superb - freaks the dog out though.

It's worth getting the extended warranty as there's a lot which could go wrong and we needed to use the warranty when it broke down just after a year.

Mine is the roomba 555 but we have had it about 5 years now. We have real wood, tiled and laminate floors downstairs so tend to use the scooba more it just whizzes round. The roomba we use upstairs as we have carpet upstairs - it's on a timer so sets off at 10 each morning then goes back to its docking station by itself! :0)

Melissakitkat · 24/03/2013 10:13

Yes topsi - just the scooba as it also picks up little bits but you might have to give the floor a quick sweep - as the scooba needs water adding there is a bit of set up before turning it on - my scooba is not on a timer - I put it on as and when needed. But it does do a really deep clean!

Melissakitkat · 24/03/2013 10:15

I clean a room then put scooba on whilst cleaning the next room- I just let it do its thing although still rather addictive still to watch! Have taken to watching robomow clips on utube until we get our own! Lol

Cantbelieveitsnotbutter · 24/03/2013 10:22

No way, you can set the timer. That's amazing!!!!! Want one

topsi · 25/03/2013 19:28

MooMe · 25/03/2013 21:03
