Plumbers or electricians ? I have an indesit washer/dryer and it's not working properly and there's a smell coming from the washing machine/under sink area .

Plumber I'd think.

'Check a trade' a good place to find someone if you don't have one in mind.

Washing machine repair men/women. Have a look on Yell or Google. Try doing the simple things first though like checking for blocked filters or drains.

We tried to get our washer drier fixed we were told it'll be cheaper to just buy a new one

Try and get someone with no call out charge so if it's something silly, you don't end up paying a load of money for a 5 minute visit.

A washer repair man.

We called one when purse went wrong. He didn't charge for being called out and only charged if we went ahead with the repair.

He did say that newer machines are pricey to repair compared to older models.

What purse Grin - that should say ours.

Look at The Sale of Goods Act '79. It may stop you from having to buy another. White goods up to 6 years old should be covered.

Agree with PP. I think a washing machine should be expected to work much longer than a year and a half.
