Soda Crystals

Bought these a while back thinking they were an essential frugal housekeeping item. Can someone please remind me what I actually use them for?!

If I have a small load of washing (or am handwashing anything), I use a couple of spoons of soda crystals instead of a tablet.

Also useful for cleaning stained teapots etc.

I put some in every wash and use minimum amount of detergent (I live in a hard water area)

Maintenance wash in washing machine.
Also unblocking/maintaining drains.
Cutting through grease - eg cleaning extractor hood.
