Old, fairly busted playpen - what to do with it

I have a large playpen, one of those octagonal ones, which is missing a door and has one broken plastic hinge..... just wondering what I could do with it, either to make some money from the scrap or even just make sure it doesn't go into a landfill. Any ideas welcomed!!

I'd just take it to the tip.

Recycle at the tip. Not safe for kids anymore. Or freecycle and maybe someone else can think of a use.

Cheers, has anyone here ever been to a scrap yard to sell? I remember on the apprentice they made a packet in one day....

Freecycle it. Someone might want it as a puppy pen

Someone might well want it for spares or making an existing pen larger. My parents got me two the same make (from boot fairs), so DS's pen was either 10 or 12 sides large, gave him "running space" but still kept him contained (till he learnt to climb over it first, then learnt to open the door to let his little brother out the following year!)

I would definitely freecycle it in case you live in my freecycle area, I am after one so that I can pen off a small area of the garden to grow a few vegetables with the DC's. You never know who might want it!!
