Dog shit + canvas shoes = ?

Got dog shit on my Vans, yes on the fabric.
What do I do?

clean off as much as you can then shove in the washing machine, I have only ever done this with converse but they have came out fine, I often wash the dc converse shoes and they have red and pink ones, mines are white and have came out fine.

I put DDs Vans in the wash. I put them into a lingere bag and wash on 30c. If I have enough towels they go in as well, dulls the sound of them thumping against the drum.

30 or 40 will probably be fine, just a quick wash.

I would blast them with the shower head first.
My converse are always in the machine.

I couldn't put dog shitty shoes in my washing machine. Wearing gloves I'd scrape off as much crap as I could then soak the shoes in a bucket of Milton solution (you can get one for fabrics so it shouldn't bleach the shoes). Then I'd wash the shoes in a bucket of hot soapy water and leave to dry.
