Scum mark on bath

Anyone have any ideas in getting the scum mark off the bath. I tried with bleach, it's better but still noticeable - didn't seem so bad in winter but of sun in the bathroom and its showing up

Cillit Bang sprayed on and left for a few minutes, rub then rinse off, then give it a good scrub with some soda crystals.

I had this problem for ages and tried everything! The answer is Brillo pads. Those soap filled ones are great, or just a normal wire scourer with a bit of soap or detergent on.

That's assuming you have a "normal" bath though, a white plasticky one, I don't know whether it would damage other materials.

Try viakal. Gets the bathroom lovely and shiny when I can be bothered to use it.

It's sodium carbonate, or washing soda. You can buy big bags of it in Wilko for about £1. It's great for loads of those tricky jobs.

Cif (used to be Jif) cream cleaner and a little bit of scrubbing. Amazing.

Ive found those magic eraser things to be the easiest way.

I would be anxious about damaging the surface with anything abrasive such as brillo or cif.

It is probably a grease and soap deposit, so rubbing with detergent will remove it, though the bathroom sprays are formulated to remove such deposits, as well as limescale.

Magic erasers can be wonderful. As can Flash bathroom spray. Cillit Bang would probably be good, as suggested above, but you obviously want the Grime-n-Lime, not the kitchen stuff. (You want acidic, not caustic.)

Cheap biological laundry powder. Fill the bath, scoop in powder, leave for a few hours, pull plug, done. A shiny bath

Toothpaste. Sounds odd, but it works.

Also, once you have removed the scum make sure the bath gets cleaned every time it is used.

HG bathroom cleaner (the blue stuff) works really well, also makes your taps really shiny.

This stuff, Homebase sells it as well.

Flash bathroom spray or with bleach are fab and my dp is always covered in oil and marks come straight off.

Does no one else struggle to use viakal cos it smells like pooh ?!!

washing up liquid, a bath sponge and some elbow grease... or stuff from astonish.. What do you normally use apart from bleach?
