New kettle tastes of plastic

Anyone know how I get rid of it? Its horrible :(

Have tried boiling it and refilling about 30 times but still my coffee tastes like plastic, is there anything I can safely give it a good scrub with?

Try adding a large spoon of bicarbonate of soda to the water,bring to the boil,discard water and then rinse out,worked for me.
