Hi
I need a new toaster as mine has a mind if its own! Keeps burning things even on low setting or only toasts one side, really annoying!
Could anyone recommend one that actually does what it's meant to at a decent price? Thanks

We've had a Dualit for 9 years now. Was expensive to buy with but has been worth it. Toast is lovely and not soggy and it keeps it warm when finished toasting without burning.

I gave a builder a slice of toast when he was here doing a job and he said it was the best toast he'd ever had!!

I'd say the same for our delonghi double toaster - we use the bagels setting for bagels, crumpets, buns etc a lot, the defrost setting works well and it toasts lovely.

I have this Krups one:

www.amazon.co.uk/Krups-ProEdition-Chrom-black-chrom-toaster/dp/B0006QALQQ/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1362143079&sr=8-1

It's really sturdy and works very well - we have had it a couple of years now, and no signs of wear (cheap toasters last a year or so in this house). I think it was a bit cheaper when I bought it - maybe £45 or so - so it might be worth waiting a few weeks in case the price comes down (now I have discovered camelcamelcamel I have realised how much the price fluctuates on Amazon).

Another vote for Dualit. Not cheap but I think they last a long time (and are repairable if they do go wrong)

The Dualit makes good toasted sandwiches too Smile

Another vote for the Krups. We've had a very similar model for (gulp) 5 1/2 years now, and I still love it.

I love my pink dualit. After going through 3 toasters in about 2 years, we decided it was false economy buying cheap. Have had the dualit about 5 years now and its been great...

Another vote for Dualit from me, I've had mine 16 years and it turns out perfect toast, has never gone wrong and looks great.
