That's actually brilliant. I am a bit obsessed with my linen cupboard. Thanks!

I hate fitted sheets - they always seem to slide off. But that is a nifty tip - the few I have get stuffed in the back of the cupboard because they take up too much space and never look tidy.

Chocolateporridge · 28/02/2013 08:30

That's amazing! I can't wait to try it on the sheet drying on the rack! Grin

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 28/02/2013 08:32

Ooh ooh oooh! ... That was well worth watching! I always struggle to close my line drawer because of the bundled ul fitted sheets...

Convert · 28/02/2013 08:34

Thank you, that's brilliant!

kelda · 28/02/2013 08:36

After my ds was born at home, I had a home help come in to help me for a few days. The first thing she did was open my cupboard, and take out all my sheets, and re-fold them. I say re-fold, but the fact is, how can they be re-folded when I'd never folded them in the first place?

Whilst I breastfed my five hour old ds, she gave me a tutorial on how to correctly fold a fitted sheet.

In the four years since, I can safely say that I have never successfully folded a fitted sheet, and do you know what, I couldn't care lessSmile

ThePavlovianCat · 28/02/2013 08:41

Omg that is brilliant. I have wanted to fold fitted sheets for ages. Thanks!

Possiblyoutedled · 28/02/2013 08:51

one of the biggest challenges you will ever face in your life is folding a fitted sheet
It's a good tip but I feel she maybe living a very sheltered life 😃Grin

MrsGeologist · 28/02/2013 08:56

It's like witchcraft!

Can you imagine a world where that is one of the most demanding things people have to face ? hmmmm....

MorrisZapp · 28/02/2013 09:00

That looks dead hard.

ShotgunNotDoingThePans · 28/02/2013 09:19

I can't watch it - keeps buffering. But does she tuck one pair of corners into the other, bring the sides in and then fold? I learned that from one of many de-cluttering books which clutter up my bookshelves.

Didn't change my life, but there is a bit more space in the airing cupboard. Smile

notso · 28/02/2013 09:20

Shock what with that and the pillow case trick the times they are a changing!

Possiblyoutedled · 28/02/2013 09:22

Wow what a challenge that was before. So glad I know now.

Dillydollydaydream · 28/02/2013 09:28

Very good tutorial but that's definitely not the biggest challenge I face, if only!
Will be giving that a try later on. I've also seen a tutorial for folding tshirts -by anthea turner that was quite good too.

lurkingaround · 28/02/2013 09:33

Agree, if only that was our biggest challenge!

notso what's the pillow case trick? >

INeverSaidThat · 28/02/2013 09:37

Shock I get on it right away........

notso · 28/02/2013 09:37

Keeping complete bedding sets inside the pillowcase to organise the linen cupboard, and now the fitted sheet will fit too.
My life is sooo dull

Calabria · 28/02/2013 09:44

I learnt that trick from the medical purser on a sailing trip years ago. It was life changing.

The sailing trip not the the sheet folding Grin

fieldfare · 28/02/2013 09:47

I think the pillow case thing is maybe what I do?
When all the linen is dry and ready to be put away I fold it all to a slightly smaller size than a regular pillowcase and then put it all inside one of the pillowcases. When you need to change the bed you just grab a pillowcase and it's already got everything inside that you need. (I was taught this when I worked in housekeeping in a hotel eons ago).

I can't fold a fitted sheet though, as long as it gets stretched out on the bed it's not a problem for me!

Chocolateporridge · 28/02/2013 10:40

Just tried it and its even easier than it looks, woo hoo, best thing that's happened all very tedious morning!

Seminyak · 28/02/2013 20:21

Are you one of my facebook friends...? I shared this vid the other day, it makes me SO HAPPY!!! I have refolded all my sheets :) :) so satisfying :)

UnknownGnome · 28/02/2013 23:04

My dh is aces at folding fitted sheets (military). Problem is they look so neat that I often take them out thinking they're flat sheets, open them up, get pissed off when they're not what I'm looking for then stuff them back in rather messily!

Floralnomad · 28/02/2013 23:08

What's even easier is sending your fitted sheets to the ironing lady , then she folds them and sends them back !
