Aldi own brand washing powder; it doesn't dissolve!!

Trying to save money I've ditched the Ariel and am using their own brand powder. I've noticed that it remains in a cloggy lump in the detergent drawer every time sometimes quite a lot of it. Machine working fine as I tried other powders and they disappear. I'm having to dissolve the powder in a jug of hot water and then add to the drawer which I shouldn't have to do.

Anyone else have this problem? I'm on my second box and it's still happening so it's not just one rogue box

I found this too so I sprinkled it directly into the drum on top of the clothes. I didn't buy a second box.

i use aldi powder and haven't had this problem at all.

I did have this problem with aldi washing powder. There was a blockage in a hose which meant the machine wasn't draining properly. Once that was sorted the washing powder dissolved fine.

I had exactly the same and wouldn't buy it again. The white was worse than the coloured. Now I've ditched it the Ariel is dissolving fine, but I did give it a 90 degree wash to get rid of all the gunk.

asda's non-bio/sensitive stuff is the same - but tesco version is fine

I haven't had this problem at all, love their non bio, not only is it a bargain, but its one of the few powders that doesn't irritate DDs skin

I haven't had that, but anyway, I mostly prefer to put the powder into the drum through the drawer as it saves having to clean the drawer out. You might find that the slot the drawer slides into needs scrubbing out along the top, especially if you have hard water.
