HELP! My house is a cowp....

....how do I get on top of it??????? I have 3 young kids and so much stuff! I try to keep on top of it but the kids mess it up as soon as its clear! We have a cleaner once a week which helps but not for long when my little darlings come home! Desperately trying to declutter as friends keep giving us STUFF which is great but I can't keep on top of it. I put some stuff on eBay too - but my house is getting me down. Just been to ikea together some more space saving - but still need to sort stuff out. Going back to work a week on Thursday so it's going to be a nightmare! HELP!

Same here. First you have to stop people giving stuff to you. With us it was because it was a gift or just because they didnt want the clutter themselves. They always used the excuse if you dont want it put it on ebay. I hate ebay lol. You need to keep the stuff for at least a week to see if it sells and if not then keep it until you can chuck it. It just delayed me. Now I use facebook selling pages and then straight to the charity shop at the weekend. You have to be ruthless too.

Do you find stuff piled on shelves? Do a shelf a time. For example when boiling the kettle in the morning I start clearing a shelf or a table and its amazing how quick it gets done. Little bits wont show at first but your attitude to how things are picking up will.
