Help!!!!!!! Ov stained my sink!

I stupidly poured harpic down the stainless steel sink and it's stained it, sort of taken off the shine leaving dark marks where the harpic was sitting. I live in rented! Have tried scrubbing Nd not moving! Any ideas?

Have you tried lime lite spray? It's amazing stuff for getting rid of the stubborn limescale, so I'm thinking it might work on those stains. It's a great cleaner anyway for stainless steel.

P.s. why oh why did you pour a toilet cleaner down the sink?

Maybe try one of those white "eraser" sponges.

Do u mean the sort u can buy for kids fingerprints off the walls? I'm going to be on big trouble and can't afford a new sink :(

if it is stainless, you need something to rub the tarnish off. Start with a green nylon pan scourer. It will leave you with a brushed finish, so only rub in the direction of the brushing, back and forth, never in circles or it will show badly, and not in a criss-cross pattern which will look odd.

If necessary, use Barkeepers Friend which is a fine abrasive cleaning powder.

Metal polish on a rag would do, but would take a very very long time.

Stainless is very durable, and difficult to damage badly.
