Low fat grill machines, anyone have one?

Can anyone tell me if they are any good, do they take a lot of cleaning? How much space do they need etc. My DH would like one, I am only thinking about space on my work top, < v. limited>. and faff factor.

My MiL got one. It does seem to take up a lot of worktop space (back to front) and she rarely uses it.

I have one but it doesn't live on the bench. We don't use it everyday because it is a faff to clean.

I'm thinking about getting one where the plates come off and go in the dishwasher, but some people have said they are not as good (can't remember why).

We have one (George Foreman) and it lives in the cupboard as it is quite hefty. Ours has removable plates which I wash by hand (no dishwasher) but I don't find it a faff at all tbh.
We've had it for years and still going strong. (In fact used it to grill sausages for tea tonight) Grin

Same as Fresh but no removable plates.

Had it for years and still going strong.

Thanks everyone. It sounds as if you need space to keep it out. My DH thinks he will use it everyday for his baconHmm
