I loe my Miele washing/dryer, but the price it cost, it better last 15 years!

Can't recommend a particular model but get one with a time delay function, so very handy.

Don't get a washer/dryer if you want to dry clothes. I've had four or five and they all without fail crease clothes. Makes me a bit ragey.

My Miele is going strong after over 10 years. We had someone come and look over it as it had a leaky seal, while it was still in its 10yr parts and labour warranty (free!). He looked at the information stored on the chip, and told us it had done as many cycles as they would expect for a 20 yo machine.

The cycles are really useful with lots of variables, and you can have a buzzer, if you want, or turn it off if you don't want it. It was expensive, but has lasted me so long, and been so reliable.

My miele beeps at teh end of the cycle, but only if you want it to. It's lovely and quiet, like a deep purr.

yeah, the variables on the cycles are excellent.

Yes - an AEG with 7kg load, 1400 spin and variable time/temp/spin - worth every penny. Mine beeps at the end of the cycle but this can be disabled on my machine - have you checked you instruction DoIt to see if yours does too?

As the proud owner of a Miele, I can say with truth that I am passionate about it. I've had it for around 5 years and still stroke it affectionately everytime I use it. Indeed, I tell DH that should we split up our primary custody battle would be over the washing machine.

Has anyone bought a Miele in the last year? Everyone is saying they are good but these all seem to be later models not the most recent models? Has anyone got a 6kg Lg direct drive? People have said the Lg's are good but all have been the larger machines.

I think if you started a thread asking about newly bought miele's you'd get plenty of replies, the thing is they last so damn long that the majority of owners have had them a good while.

Also, any old washing machine - however shitty - is more than likely to perform just fine for the first year...

I have a Miele, nearly 10 yrs old. I got it at a discount and it is good BUT - I wouldnt buy one again. They are just too expensive... Heard lots of good things about John Lewis machines.

We are a family of 4 so is being used alot. When I next buy I will buy one with a bigger drum as well......
