Will a steam cleaner clean grout and tiles?

I'm thinking of one of those little hand-held jobbies. Bathroom grout is a bit limescaley. Could do with a freshen up but I can't be arsed re-grouting. Also thought a steam cleaner might be handy to have for other tasks. Such as...?

Marking place as I've got one too, and don't really know what to do with it!

You know, I've seen the topic of steam cleaners come up on cleaning business forums. People generally say they tried it and went "meh." No professional seems to think they're worth the expense or bother.

They look miraculous in the advertisements, but I have not heard a lot of good specifics about them from people who have them. So, I've never tried one.

Nope. Still haven't found anything that beats bleach and scrubbing brush on grout :(

I love my steam cleaner for floors, but on grout, it's a dead loss -- I wouldn't bother if that's your main reason for getting one.
