I'm very allergic to dogs and cats.

have been given a big box of clothes for the dc and she has numerous of the above. just opening the box has given me an asthma attack.
will washing once do the trick?

Maybe hang them out on the line for a few days. It works with real nappies. Then wash them at 60 with a prewash and extra rinse.

a wash, and I find a tumble dry to blow away the remaining particles, will do the job.

If you haven't got a big tumbler, a trip to the laundrette will get a lot of stuff into their huge driers.

Put them in the freezer in plastic bags for a couple of days then a good wash.

Might help.

A freezer will kill dust mites, but will not remove allergens.

A wash and tumble will do both.
