How to clean blinds - urgent help needed!

I have to clean several fabric roman blinds as we are leaving a rented property. I have had a quote which is really high and the dry cleaners won't do them as they have metal rings which can't be removed (they are punched into the fabric and hold the strings which pull the blind up and down). They also have pieces of wood running across them which are enclosed in fabric and stitched close so not easy to remove.

Is there any obvious way of cleaning these without damaging them at all?

Try another company and see if the quote is lower?

I don't know what to do with blinds, myself. I managed to bleach some mould out of some vertical blinds at our previous house, but otherwise... I'm useless.
