How do I get crayon off the walls and carpet?

I'm thinking kitchen roll, a tea towel and a warm iron (can I iron walls?)

Any other suggestions?

Hairspray! I saw it on How Clean Is Your House.
Never tried it myself, but it certainly worked.

Sorry don't know about carpets.

I might try that, did they just spray it on then wipe it straight off again?

Yes, enough to cover all the crayon marks, then I think they used a clean dry cloth, rubbed in a circular motion and it all came off.

Good luck Smile

Thanks, will add hairspray to the shopping list and hid the offending patch of wall behind a chair till then.

Wd40

Works wonders on wax crayon

JammySplodger · 15/01/2013 15:55

Ooh, now we've definitely got that in the house, will that do funny things to the carpet though?

Maybe try a little where noone would look

JammySplodger · 15/01/2013 16:12

Hmm, yes maybe I'll try that.

Another one here for wd40!

if you have wallpaper or matt walls, WD40 may make a greasy spot. Try a magic eraser if you haven't already.

For carpets... ironing through a tea towel may work. Test a spot carefully to make sure you don't end up just staining the area.
