Motivation to get cleaning done in one session

I need motivation to do 2 hours of cleaning in one go whilst DD is at nursery. This is as opposed to my current habit of doing 40 mins each day for 3 days (Day1: hoovering and wash floor, Day2: bathroom, Day3: kitchen & dusting ) . I think I go into this habit due to DD's short naps.

I feel that I will free up so much time later in the week by doing it all on one day, but I just seem to faff around emptying dishwasher/ putting bins out etc... that before I know it, time is up and I need to pick DD up from nursery.

I also start with hoovering and then feel too tired to do anything else. Am such a wuss!

Can anyone inspire me to knuckle down and just get it over and done with in one session? I can do it if I am expecting visitors, but pretending to have visitors doesn't work with me.

Personally I would sit down with a cup of tea and mumsnet or catch up with the soaps - but that is maybe why my house is a tip.

Sorry if that is not the motivation you need Grin, I will come back and shout at you if you want.

Time yourself doing the individual jobs you don't like doing. - You'd be surprised at how little time they actually take. Add it all up, then plan a treat for when you've finished them all - tv or walk or magazine & cuppa. That might focus your mind a bit more to get it all done in one go?
