cheap recycled toilet rolls where to buy?

Tesco value toilet rolls used to be 100% recycled but haven't been for a while. So I was buying them from Lidl but the last 2 times I've been they've not had any.

Any ideas? We're down to 5 rolls!

what percentage recycled do you think they are then?

curlywurl · 14/01/2013 11:24

I don't know is that a trick question?!

no, but I understand that most loo roll and kitchen roll contains a lot of recycled material, but needs additional new pulp to give it the longer fibres to hold it together.

I don't know how much of the waste paper from recycling bins is actually recycled, do you?

No I'd hope most stuff we send to recycling is used but who knows. You'd think manufacturers would put it on the package if their product was part recycled wouldn't you?

Any 100% recycled loo roll we've had has always been fine but I'm not that fussy about how soft it is!

I think sainsburys basics are.

Thanks I'll check next time I'm there. I thought I'd checked theirs before but might be wrong.
