non standard size curtains - where to buy?

very annoyingly we need 58" drop curtains and not the standard 54" drop. Where can I try for made to measure curtains which are good quality? So far have next, M&S, John Lewis and Dunelm on my list of places to try!

Depends on your price really
We've had very nice ones (needed long 8ft and wide) from John Lewis but they weren't cheap.
For another window I've gone with IKEA 300cm long ones and shortened them - looks fine and was a whole lot cheaper.

Hi, I want nice, thick good quality ones that hang well, I had ordered a pair of M&S ones which were going to cost £109 (but were 4" too short so no good!) - I didnt think that was cheap but thought the quality was a bit average. If for example we went for the M&S ones in the longer length and shortened them ourselves, they would cost £120. Could go up to £150 really. The window isnt massive at all just slightly non-standard.

Or just buy the longer (cheaper) ready made ones and get the shortened. Probably cost about £20 to get it done properly.

Have you tried pricing up made to measure ones at Dunelm, their pices are really reasonable. I had some made up for our 4m wide bay and they cost about £200.Can't remember what drop they are though. They are very well made and when i worked it out, i couldn't have bought the fabric and made them myself for the same price. Would definataly recommend them.

Have you tried Next? I'm sure they do made to measure curtains.

Our local Harry Corry store has a local seamstress working for them, and she will alter ready made curtains - maybe worth asking in Dunelm too?

Make your own.

It's really easy.
