Steam mop owners... Come hither.

I have my eyes on a x5 h20 steam mop with lots of accessories for doing tiles, carpets etc. however it's a bit pricey at 100 pounds and has terrible reviews on amazon.

What steam cleaner mop thing do you have ?

I have real wood floors in lounge and hall, laminate slate tile effect in kitchen and bathroom, walnut type laminate in both bedrooms. I would like to be able to clean bathroom tiles with it too.

I have the x5 h20 steam mop - paid less than £100 though - got through QVC on easypay - was £60 I think? Was a while ago. Is great for floors - drys quickly and is much quicker and easier than dragging a mop and bucket around.

I tried to do my oven with it, but it really didn't do the job on that, which was a bit disappointing, but it is good on the floors. The only issue is that the cloth covers get really grubby, so I don't want to put them in the laundry basket, so I forget to wash them and then have to get the mop and bucket out - think if I brought another couple of cloth heads for it that would solve the problem.

We've got the X5 and its great. Floor cleaner bit easy to use and the attachments are great at cleaning our bathroom tiles it looks really clean almost showroom like after we've used it in there

I have a beldray one which has been bought for christmas. It seems ok but reminds me of Toilet Duck as it is yellow and white. DH used it and it cleaned tiled floor well.

No idea who this company are but here for £40 - is £69 on QVC

I have the older h20. Had it for about 2 years.
The floor mop bit took me a couple of goes to get used to. I used to use it like a mop, but this was wrong I found out. It's more like mopping on speed to end up with a dry floor.
Rugs are fab, but again you have to zoom. But even though zooming it picks up loads of shite.
Windows. I hate washing the things to begin with. But with this, I can do them every 4 months and they are fine. Whereas doing them with soapy water/spray every week. (I live in London)
Oven, I cannot use shop bought cleaners, end up having severe asthma attacks. This I can handle and it does it job.
Appliances. I give them a quick blast from the hand held yearly. My appliances are 6+ years old, but still look new.
Bathroom, say goodbye to the crap in the grout of tiles, watermarks and limescale. Same with the sinks and taps.

Generally I found that stuff stays cleaner for longer, not just the windows. The floors, I used to mop daily and lob the mop head after in the washer. Now I do weekly, mop head doesn't need washing daily. When it gets dirty then I steam.

If I remember correctly I bought it from ebay, thane have a shop on there. Worked out I spend around £60 for everything - all the attachments, and extra clothes.. In the beginning you do need to the extra clothes because you don't realise even from mopping and hoovering everyday how much dirt your floors attract.

we have the karcher one and it is great. i use white microfibre clothes and tape them round the floor attatchment so we have cheap extra cloths. it leaves tiled floors almost dry too.its great
