Siemens one is getting stuck mid cycle and is over 15 years old. Hoping to find one in the sales but thought would ask for recommendations before we look please. tia

Which best buy semi integrated full size (best first)

Bosch
SMI53E05GB
Jun 2012 £478
scored 79%
also an energy saving model

Electrolux
ESI67070XR
Jan 2011 £475
scored 74%

there are just those two best buys

I usually recommend Bosch appliances, and had understood Siemens to be just as good, as they jointly own the company that designs and makes them, or a bit upmarket, but I bought a couple of basic Siemens appliances last year and not found them as good.

Thanks, that is very useful. Annoying that yet again we pay over the odds because of previous owners kitchen design though! Let's hope for a sale bargain.

If you don't mind a white front, you could roll in an ordinary free-standing one and have greater choice.

Would that fit behind a plinth ?

Good point.

On the free standing ones there is a panel below the door but it might not be the same height as your plinth. Plus I like to put rollers under my appliances. You would probably have to cut the plinth to fit, though if you have an integrated kitchen you have probably got used to not cleaning behind or under things.

I've got a Miele one that is great and is really quiet.
