Do you have any frestive towels you can put out for them? Even a hand towel to go with regular bath towels?

A chocolate Santa on their pillow?

Karbea · 20/12/2012 11:25

No, I don't have any festive towels. But the Santa's are a good idea. Will add them to my last minute panic shopping list.

flowers or a flowering potplant? keep it away from the radiator.

Not christmassy, but still very welcoming would be to put a photo of your guests with you/children on their bedside.

My sister does this when I visit her, and has a photo from my previous visit in a frame on my bedside. It always makes me smile.

How about some homemade snowflake garlands hung around the window frame with some fairy lights?

You need-
White paper or newspaper looks good too
Scissors
String and tape

Make various sizes of snowflakes, tape onto brown string. Done.

Set up a hot chocolate tray for them with some christmasssy biscuits. like this

Get some kilner jars, wrap a very small beautifully (gift candle, nail polis, lib balm, hand cream, notepad), in it, tag it with a huge 24 and this is their very last advent treat but is in your house?
