Hello Hiccup and welcomeXmas Grin

Sounds like you've made good progress.

I didn't get the presents wraped, OH took 4.5 hours driving home, normal y 30 mins but we've had heavy rain. DDs hadn't seen him today so they stayed up, then we realised the roof has leaked. Cieling in the spare room may need a piece replacing. OH is going To try rubbing it down first.

HiccupHaddockHorrendous · 20/12/2012 10:32

Childminded children's gifts are all wrapped and cards ready to post!

Got a couple more things to finish off for the last of my CM children tomorrow then they're done.

Have to do a big clean tonight. I've got some friends coming for lunch tomorrow and the house is covered in glitter and dirty footprints!

Karbea · 20/12/2012 11:07

Oh god! can I join?
I've so much to do, before 9pm tmr when me in laws arrive.
So far i've nearly done their room. Rest of the house is a pig sty! Helped this morning by cats puking on sofa and weeing on kitchen floor, and DH walking mud on cream landing carpets and stairs, floor steamer, and little stair vac breaking earlier in the week. - thanks guys!

AdoraJingleBells · 20/12/2012 13:12

Karbea

Welcome aboard, sounds like you have a lot on today, erm may I ask, does DH know how to clean his muddy footprints off the carpet?

Good luck, remember to take little breaks through the day.

Karbea · 20/12/2012 13:19

Umm well yes he does but he wouldn't do it as well as I would. We had a bit of a situation with the cat on the roof yesterday and i called him back from the station to help me get her off, he was then going to do it but I said it would be easier once it's dried. He was out last night with work and there again now, big bits hoovered but I need to get the carpet cleaner out today.

Anyway, two bedrooms done. Family bathroom sort of down although can't finish it as gaping hole into the loft at the mo (thanks FIL), all the tiles were filthy as the loft dust has gotten everywhere :(

Anyway lunch now methinks!

Karbea · 20/12/2012 13:20

down - done

AdoraJingleBells · 20/12/2012 15:28

Ah yes, it is much easier once it dries. I'm trying To dry a carpet today after the roof leaked, but I promised To take DDs To the cinema. Most of the towels now need Washing and I'll use the hairdryer later.

Hope you enjoy lunch.

Sorry about the random caps, my phone tríes To stick To Spanish and this is the result of me insisting on EnglishXmas Confused

Karbea · 20/12/2012 16:13

ive now done the upstairs hall way and our ensuite, our bedroom to do then upstairs done... i think im slow at cleaning :(

BlackCatinChristmasChaos · 20/12/2012 21:27

Hi all, and welcome! Xmas Smile

I'm just enjoying a bit of time to myself now the DC are in bed Xmas Grin. I am watching Michael Mcintyre (comedian). DH is in work (last night tonight, YAY!)
then he is off for Christmas.

I got all the cards sent off apart from a few for people who live nearby so I can deliver those by hand.

I still have no presents wrapped and more to buy so DH and I have decided to share the childcare over the next 2 days so we can each do our shopping.
The house is still fairly chaotic but it is usable!
Must take a tablet in a mo as I feel a headache coming on.

Hope everyone else is o.k.

Karbea don't worry about being slow, take things at your own pace - no point wearing yourself out.

Cats hope the headache goes quickly, well done on getting those cards posted. Glad your DH is off for Christmas.

I took the DDs out, the film finished yesterdayXmas Sad, we did a bit more shopping and had a late lunch. I'm now waiting for another movie that I failed to take them to see to download. Just sent them to bed so that I can wrap the gifts in an hour or so.

Where's Zoo? I left some chocolate the ther day, did she eat it and run away?

AdoraJingleBells · 22/12/2012 23:20

How's everyone doing? I now have just one more gift to wrap, OH's so I need to wait until he's out of the house.

House is okay, OH has fixed the ceiling that was damaged. Laundry is done, again, dinner has been eaten and DW is on. Tomorrow I need to vacuum and see about buying my turkey.

Karbea · 23/12/2012 00:07

Cleaning all done!

I need to wrap and finish Xmas cards, aware they won't arrive on time now :S

Also need to think of some other food apart from turkey :S

AdoraJingleBells · 23/12/2012 20:50

Well done Karbea

I seem to have done my back in. Bought a turkey today though, and a few other bits. There'll be no cleaning done today, but I do need to write the few cards I am doing this year, just OH and DDs. Postal system here means it's not worth sending cards back home. Other than wrapping OH's gift when he goes to work tomorrow I just need to fill the DD's stockings.

AdoraJingleBells · 24/12/2012 22:30

I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas.

Finally got OH's gift wrapped this morning. Got DD's dental Xrays done, just about to do dinner then prep potatoes and stuffing for tomorrow before we sit down with a christmas movie. DDs are decorating cakes as I type.

bessie26 · 24/12/2012 22:43
