Dry-wipe marker on school jumper!!

As title-my son has loads of black marker pen on his school jumper. I tried using anti-bac handwash to get it out (as reccommended by the teacher), but it didn't work. Does anyone have any ideas?? I actually don't even mind if it just fades the stains!! (Although getting rid of them would be better, of course!!)

Who's bright idea was it to give a 4 year old a black marker to practice his writing?!? Don't schools have chalk boards any more???!!

No idea, most of DS1's school jumpers are covered in whiteboard pen. Have tried all sorts of stain removers. It's one of my bugbears too - but chalkboards are a lot trickier to write on, so I can see why they let the children use little whiteboards and pens but it drives me mad, so I only buy cheap, non-logo jumpers for my boys now.

I'm glad it's not just my boy-everyone else seems to come out with pristine jumpers and he is covered!! Hopefully someone will know the answer to help us both, or it will be cheap non-logo jumpers for my DS too in future.

I know these stains drive everyone nuts, I help out in a school and we use whiteboards and pens as it is easier for the children - there is a reason why children wear school uniform - it is so there is uniformity amongst the children and also saves on children wearing and ruining their really nice every day clothes!! Don't worry too much about the pen stains, they will fade with washing . And also blackboards don't exist in most schools now - they use white boards and interactive boards - most youngsters would be hard pushed to tell you what a blackboard was these days!! School uniforms are designed to take the rough and tumble of school - that's what they are there for!!

I managed to remove by using vanish block soap and fairy liquid and using my nail to to get it into the stain.

Hey Boss, I don't mind if they don't fully come out, I just wish he didn't look like he'd been playing naughts and crosses on his jumper all the time!!

Where, I shall invest in a Vanish block in my next shop and see how it goes, thank you!!
