4 days an we are off :)

We have a full packing service. :)
I have plans to pack essentials for 3 days for us and dc such as clothes, nappies etc. Oh and felt tips as toys etc.
Clean bedding will go in another bag ready for making beds ASAP.
I have a box of stuff fr tea making purposes to keep the movers happy.

I need to disconnect the washer, dishwasher and fridge/ freezer. Any tips on doing that? I was going to do it Sunday night ready for movers on Monday morning.

What else should I be doing? Confused

Finish off whatever food you have in? Chips and ice cream suppers. Take library books back, organise post redirect and tell neighbours/ have a goodbye Brew with them. Check garden for plaques, ornaments, hoses etc. Organise food for moving day perhaps? Pizzas?
Are you going far?
You'll fit it all in. I was Shock at your 'Ikea trip finished by mid morning' yesterday.

Thanks! :)

150 miles! Renting the house we intent to buy while waiting for ours to sell so not ideal! Confused

Freezer roulette is well underway. Cupboards running low apart from tins and flour etc live in Kilner jars so should be ok to move.

I need to get our crap out the shed and empty the sandpit but need dh fr that and he's not home till tonight.

The new place has a fish and chip shop and pizza take away 2 mins away so that's food sorted! :)

Any tips on disconnecting the washer or dishwasher?

Ps ikea being done by mid morning when you drop ds off at preschool at 9! Ikea is only 20mins max away so easily done quickly. And dd has a low tolerance for te place - much like dh!

I was shocked how much rubbish we'd paid to have packed and store when we moved! So if you have the energy and time to get some tip & charity shop runs in, then I recommend it. I spent the first 3 months here getting rid of stuff, despite having moved somewhere much larger. It's such a good feeling.

I am desperately clearing out cupboards. :)

Although I'm sure I will chuck more stuff when we get there!

I second chucking a load of rubbish out.

We didn't move but did a total and I mean total house conversion and had to live in in whilst we were doing it - yep keep chucking!! We chucked so much stuff out of the loft space that we actually had it converted to use as a bedroom!! Chucking works!! Chucked loads of other stuff too that we did not need!! Works a treat!!

Dh is emptying the loft as we speak for the removal men coming on Monday. The tip is open tmrw.... Grin
