Does anyone have one of these? If so, how would you rate them?

They look good and the space it takes when folded is much better than the tumble dryer.

My mum bought one for me before DD was born and I was a bit Hmm

Now I wouldn't be without it, it's not as effective as a tumble dryer for things like towels, bedding etc as they do take a little while to dry but for clothing like t-shirts, trousers, knitwear etc I find it to be great and it cuts down the ironing as the creases drop out.

Doesn't seem to have put our electricity bill up (and we have it on most days!)

I have heard they use less energy that tumble dryers.

Thanks for replying, sounds like it would be good. We have an 8 month old and our washing machine and dryer is permanently on so it may be worth it.

I bought one a year ago to try and sort out our winter drying problem. They are great for things that can go on hangers, but I would say don't try to put more than two hangers per branch unless you are prepared to put it on for two full cycles, and rotate the clothes in between. I've yet to find a way to make use of the vertical space to dry non-hanger items like the gazillions of undies I always seem to end up washing! Bed sheets etc still end up draped over bannisters, furniture and doors.

Oh, and whatever you do, don't touch any of the metal bits straight after turning the darn thing off, even the zips can get pretty hot Blush

Geeklette I bought one of those cheap mini airers with pegs on it like this

www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B002VH8KBQ/ref=mp_s_a_1?qid=1353523545&sr=1-1-fkmr1&pi=SL75

Easy drying for undies without taking up loads of room! Sometimes I hang it in the dry buddy when I realise I have no pants for the next morning
