Bedroom sharing - who would you put where....?

The time has come to evict 6mo DD from our bedroom!

We have 2 available bedrooms for 3 kids - DS 6, DD 3 and DD 6m.

One is a box room, one is big enough for two singles(not necessarily bunkbeds).

The choice I am making is whether or not to put DS and DD together so the baby is in the box room for a bit, or go straight to DS on his own, girls sharing.

Another alternative is to put the baby in with DS, thinking that he is the elder/more responsible/more able to sneak around in the morning/evening.

I have thought about this so much that I can't decide... so thought I'd come on here and petition you for experiences and wisdom!

Any opinions appreciated, many thanks in advance!

I would put DD in the box room and the 2 DDs in the bigger room. I put DD age 2 with DD 6 months and they were fine and they are 4 and 2 now we have never had a problem

Sorry I meant DS in box room

Ds1 and ds2 shared from being 2.5 & 6 months with no bother. Eventual plan was to put ds2 & ds3 together but we delayed that as ds3 was such a nightmare sleeper. They do share now and love it.

So I think a lot depends on your baby and how light/heavy sleepers the older ones are. I have to say mine all v quickly got used to sleeping through each other crying, it's amazing!

We've rearranged the bedrooms a few times so don't worry too much, maybe just try it one way and see how you go? Nothing is unchangeable.

Yes the sleep issue.... baby DD is a bit changeable at the moment which is why we're leaning towards sticking her in her own room... it does seem a bit mean, though...

Thank you for thoughts so far,

I'm sure the older ones will love sharing....our three 8, 5, and 3 have all been together for years and we are moving soon where they will each have their own room and I know they will be really unsettled as they love being together...it's time to split them up though!
