Coca cola stain on carpet

Any ideas for getting a coca cola stain out of a beige carpet. I tried soaking as much as possible up with kitchen roll, then washed it with a solution of washing up liquid and warm water but there's still a huge stain!

try mixing a solution of water and dreft (a woollen washing powder) together and rubbing in with a finger, sort of massaging not so it fluffs the pile.

then re dry with kitchen roll

Maybe try some bicarbonate of soda. Sprinkle on then rub in with warm water. Use water to try & rinse it. Soak up excess water with kitchen roll. I put a wad over a stain & keep standing on it to absorb the water.
